Yet to play course enough

Way to play - Yet to play course enough

Length: 6400
Par: 70
SSS: 70
Style: Very long and open course. Many severe undulations. Flowering bushes.
Location: Set in gardens of castle/house. Great views in every direction you look.
Comment: Challenging even for good player. Enjoyable for anyone due to scenery.
Best Hole: 10th
190yrd, Par 3

Tee and green separated by what only can be described as a mini-valley. A really challenging par 3 due to its long length, hidden green and the fact that falling short will put you in the trees/undergrowth. To add to this, a couple of bunkers protect the green. Not for the faint hearted but the feeling of satisafaction you get from hitting the green is great. Beautiful view of the castle from both the tee and the green.

Way to play - The real danger is all short so make sure you take plenty of club. Also watch out for the wind direction as this can take a good shot into the trees to the left of the green. Make sure you have plenty of golf balls at the start of the round as otherwise this just adds to the pressure (personal experience!)

Length: 5984
Par: 71
SSS: 69
Style: 1st half - tight parkland, 2nd half - long, undulating and very open.
Location: Views of a halls of residence when walking the 2nd part of the course.
Comment: A course of two halves. 2nd half relatively forgiving. Improved greens.
Best Hole: 3rd
184yrd, Par 3

Short hole but a satisfying one. Hitting the ball straight is critical as road/out of bounds on left and a pond on the right. Two nasty bunkers protect the front of the green. The left hand one can even interfer with putting depending on pin placement.

Way to play - keep left as out of bounds and bushes to your right are the main dangers on the hole. If in doubt of club go long as little danger to be found at the back of the green.
